Hey there!

My name is Samuel Waihenya and I’ll try and keep this very brief.

I’ve been a fan of dreadlocks ever since I grew into my late teens. The style fascinated me and I was always curious whether I could achieve the length I saw on other people with my own hair.

As a result of me growing up in a culture that glorified short hair and despising the regular trips to the barber, I set out to grow my hair as long as I could in a dreadlock style.

As a Digital Marketer by profession, the ability to combine my passion for content creation with my love for the beautiful game is what drove me to build this website and fill it with lots of useful advice, guides and product recommendations.

Educational Background & Qualifications

Here is a brief overview of my educational proficiency, which speaks for my overall literacy level and ability to run this website efficiently and effectively:

  • Electronic Commerce

2. Digital Marketing Certifications

As a business owner, perfecting my craft when it comes to the different facets of marketing has been one of my highest priorities.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve been determined to hone my skills by becoming digitally certified in the following areas:

When my dreadlock journey started

I decided to take the plunge back in December of 2015.

The first baby step involved me combing out my unkempt hair and having it “blow-dried” in a salon.

From the week of experience I had with semi-relaxed hair, I learnt that this style wasn’t for me due to the overwhelming need to protect my hair from the rain, as well as needing to oil it every morning so I could at least tie it back into a man bun.

That prompted me to look into getting my hair locked.

So, I started out by getting my afro hair parted into a number of different sections, before having it palm rolled into tiny baby locks.

What my dreadlocks have looked like

At the moment, I’ve got so much length that it’s incredible to see where I started from.

Here are a few pictures showcasing the different stages of my hair growth over the years.

What content do I publish on the blog?

Anything to do with dreadlocks, obviously!

The goal is to help people on their journeys by providing useful information and tips that can help people grow their hair in an easier and healthier way.
